Activity: The Jones County Heart Walk will take place in Gardiner Park in downtown Laurel at 8:00 am. This walk is for a great cause; to help people build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and strokes! It’s a great way to get your family outside and walking for a purpose. The 2015 Loblolly Festival

Where: Historic Downtown Laurel
Cost: FREE
Music Line-Up: The Strays, Down South Band, Tommie “Tbone” Pruitt, and Magnolia Drive
Activity: The Loblolly Festival is Laurel’s signature hometown event, and a must for anyone who loves the “City Beautiful.” From festival food to artists and craftsmen, there’s so much to do and see. You can bring your kids to watch Dayton Scoggins carve amazing works of art into wood right in front of your eyes or to get their picture taken with the lovable Loblolly Lumberjack. Where: Sawmill Square Mall
Cost: On-site Registration: $30 | 1 Mile Fun Run: $10

Heritage Arts Festival

Where: Lauren Rogers Museum of Art

Activity: At this free family-friendly art festival, patrons will celebrate their heritage through different hands-on art activities including pine tree collages, beads, metallic fish, and Mississippi ornaments. While enjoying all of the art and activities that this festival has to offer, you will also be able to enjoy live music by Thomas Jackson of Hattiesburg.
